Structural Inspection Requirements:
- Visual structural inspection every 10 years by a licensed professional for concrete buildings of more than 6 stories in height.
- Inspection to include foundations, balconies, all structural members, and waterproofing.
- Initial inspection to be completed by 12/31/2022 and every 10 years thereafter.
- Property Owners to submit a written Structural Inspection Report prepared by the licensed professional to the Division of the Construction Code Official.
- If structural repairs are needed, the Property Owner shall be responsible for the repairs and immediately undertake measures as may be required to secure public safety.
- Following the repairs, the licensed professional shall inspect the building and the Property Owner shall file an amended report prepared by the licensed professional setting forth the conditions of the building with the Division of the Construction Code Official within 30 days of the repairs being completed.
