Founded by Charles Becht III, PE in 1964, Becht Engineering BT, Inc. supports our "Building Technologies" clientele by providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection (MEP&FP) engineering, structural engineering, building envelope engineering, capital reserve study consulting services, insurance/forensic investigations, and project management services. Our engineering staff includes multi-disciplined engineering professionals licensed in seventeen states. Our project management staff is comprised of licensed building inspectors, mechanical inspectors, certified building plan examiners, registered roof observers, registered exterior wall observers, Concrete Surface Repair Technicians, NJ Certified Building Benchmarkers, and Reserve Specialists certified by the Community Association Institute. Our firm is certified as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE).

Our team of engineers is experienced in all facets of building engineering for every type of building. We have extensive experience with Property Condition Assessments of existing buildings supporting real estate and leasing transactions, tenant improvements, forensic engineering services supporting the insurance industry, and experienced expert witnesses supporting the legal profession with construction defect litigation. We also provide engineering designs for new construction from early planning stages to complete construction documents.
