President & CEO
Eric Collins, PE, serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Becht Engineering, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in building systems engineering across a wide range of market sectors and project types. His technical background spans traditional HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, hydronic systems, and integrated building infrastructure design.
In his role, Eric works closely with client leadership teams to identify needs, define project goals, and develop effective, constructible solutions. He provides executive oversight throughout the full project lifecycle—from early planning and schematic design through bid documentation, construction administration, final commissioning, and punch‑list completion—ensuring technical excellence, clarity, and accountability at every stage.
Eric has led and contributed to complex projects in the Commercial, Education, Laboratories and Life Sciences, and Multi‑Family Residential markets. His experience includes work throughout the United States as well as international assignments, giving him a broad perspective on building performance, regulatory environments, and best practices.
As President & CEO, Eric sets the firm’s overall strategic direction, guiding senior leadership and making key decisions that align Becht Engineering’s technical expertise, client service, and long‑term growth objectives. His leadership emphasizes quality, collaboration, and practical engineering solutions that deliver lasting value.
