Rope Descent Systems - Anchorage

Attention Building Owners: The OSHA 1910.27 Rule involves the inspection and certification of permanent building anchorages for rope descent systems. Rope descent systems are used for accessing elevations of a building for cleaning, maintenance, or inspection of a façade, window washing, and façade repairs, for example. The rule requires that "...the building owner must inform the employer, in writing, that the building owner has identified, tested, certified, and maintained each anchorage such it is capable of supporting 5,000 pounds in any direction..." A qualified person is to conduct an inspection of each anchorage annually. The certification of each anchorage is required at least every ten years. This rule helps to ensure the safety of workers on your building(s). Contact one of our professionals today at 800.772.7991 or information@bechtbt.com for assistance with your rope descent systems.
