Rehab Project in North Bethesda, Maryland
Becht Engineering BT, Inc. investigated reported water intrusion issues and concealed structural framing and flashing for defects and damages which existed at the exterior walkways at the White Flint Station Condominium property, located in North Bethesda, Maryland. The multi-level structure and the walkways are timber framed and clad in exterior insulation and finishing system (EIFS). The property was reportedly developed/constructed in 1999 and was converted to condominium units in 2006. The structural concerns regarding the exterior walkways had worsened and deflections/distortions have magnified since they were first observed in 2009.
Our firm provided engineering services required for the repair and rehabilitation of the structural framing and localized façade rehabilitation. We also provided services during the bidding and construction phases.
